We have been working on our end of unit Native American Triorama Projects.
They are due Tuesday, Dec. 12th.
Please note that the 3-D object is to be completed at home. I have limited art supplies that students can use. They just need to ask and see if I have something they can use.
Here are a few due dates to keep an eye on.
Project Objective: to create a 3-D display that illustrates and explains 1) the climate, 2) the type of land they lived on, 3) the food they ate, 4) the various shelters they had, 5) the clothing they wore, and 5) some of the customs or cultural beliefs they practiced.
1. Select one of the Native American people groups from Unit 1 p. 17-45
*Due on Mon. 12/4
2. Write an explanation describing what a day of life in your people group was like.
*Assigned and written on Tues. & Wed. 12/5 & 12/6; Due Thurs. 12/7
3. Illustrate the backdrop of the triorama.
*Sketch on 12/6 - 12/8; Due Monday 12/11
4. Create a 3-D object to display in the triorama.
*Assigned for an AT-HOME ACTIVITY; Due Tues. 12/12
Object must be homemade. It must relate to the people group (i.e. a travois
for the Plains.) You may use paper, card stock, foam, clay, etc. Real items,
like sticks and pebbles, may also be included. Be creative! DO NOT GO
AND BUY ITEMS AT A STORE!!!
