Welcome

East is one of seven elementary schools in Grandville Public Schools. As its name implies, East Elementary is a neighborhood school toward the eastern edge of the City of Grandville. Our staff is dedicated to providing an outstanding educational experience for our kindergarten through sixth-grade students. They enjoy specials with art, music and physical education teachers each week. Our young learners love exploring our well-stocked library and media center and taking home books that appeal to their individual interests. Of course, play is important for this age group, too. At recess time they love playing games together and releasing their energy on our fun playground equipment.

 

At East Elementary, our students strive to ROAR, an acronym for being Responsible, having an Outstanding attitude, Acting with respect and being Ready to learn. Every day we notice and appreciate students who encapsulate one or more of these traits!

 

We encourage parents and guardians to take an active interest in their child's education. Listening to your child read, reading to your child, and participating in parent-teacher conferences are some easy yet powerful ways to get involved and signal to your child that education is a family priority.
